The Tasman has been through its own Darwinian process of evolution and refinement over the years, but no previous version of Ugg’s most classic slip-on has come close to its latest form factor, which is about as Gorpcore as a cozy slipper could get.

The Tasman Wildwood is almost unrecognizable thanks to a ground-up reimagining, and yet it retains that classic, undeniable DNA that has made Ugg a hit for generations.

The removable pouch, MOLLE-inspired straps and hardworking new upper make this new Ugg a Gorpcore dream.

Take a walk on the Wildwood side

The Tasman Wildwood isn’t the first time Ugg has reinvented the iconic silhouette, but it’s certainly the best blend of capable and eye-catching design.

The Tasman still retains its appeal, but levels up in terms of durability and unique style.

That starts with the retooled upper, which is built with ultra-durable Cordura EcoMade, a 100 percent recycled material known for its rugged yet lightweight construction.

That more resilient upper is paired with MOLLE-inspired textile strapping, which elevate the shoe’s vibe and could potentially be used to transport EDC essentials, should the need arise. (Maybe one of these carabiners?)

These versatile slip-ons can be paired with anything and everything in your closet.

There’s also a tiny removable pouch that is almost certainly more fun than functional and small paracord attachments to the heel that continue the Gorpcore homage.

Classic carryover elements include Ugg’s sheepskin lining, foam footbed and ultra-lightweight sugarcane EVA outsole, which form a trifecta of comfort and coziness.

The new style is available in two adventurous colorways: Burnt Olive/Red Pepper and Sand/Regal Blue.
