Costco Just Launched a Wedding Registry

To have and to hold, and to never run out of paper towels, ’til death do you part.

Kirkland Signature devotees, rejoice. Members-only warehouse mecca Costco has partnered with MyRegistry.com to launch wedding and baby registries. Most, but not all, of Costco’s digital inventory can be saved to a registry — think KitchenAid stand mixers, Miele vacuums, All-Clad cookware and high-tech appliances like steam ovens.

While pantry staples and perishable foods cannot be added to registries, items categorized as “emergency food” can, suggesting that the secret to a long and happy marriage is not a 72-pound wheel of Kirkland Signature Parmesean Reggiano, but rather a well-stocked doomsday bunker.
