The brand that started with a well-designed, easy-assembling, happily affordable bed frame has opened up its catalog to include a table, side table, desk, hardware and, starting in October, a sofa.
Like all Floyd’s products, the sofa will ship free and quickly (same-day delivery for select cities) and is designed with materials and functionality uncommon to its price point — a birch wood frame is kept in place by powder-coated steel hardware, and cushions (which the brand says are closer to pillows) filled with two types of long-lasting foam. The cushion upholstery also happens to be stain-resistant. And like the rest of Floyd’s products, it’s flat-packed and assembles — and, for frequent movers, disassembles — in several minutes.
Starting at $1,200, the Floyd Sofa will be available as a two-seater, three-seater and sectional (three-seater and a chaise) in light blue, mustard, dark blue and gray in early October (available for pre-order September 20).
