Robert Egger, the creative director of Specialized, created a bike that purposely breaks the Union Cycliste Internationale’s restrictions on bike design. Egger says the experimental design, which includes a flywheel and an electric motor to help with acceleration, is “for someone who really just wants to go fast on a road bike.”
