Per a press release published today in conjunction with the Red Dot Design Awards, it appears Canyon is designing a revamped all-carbon version of the aluminum cross/gravel Inflite, dubbed the Inflite CF SLX. The revamped bike was awarded a Best of the Best 2017 award from Red Dot, which highlights unique designs and best-in-class products. Judging from the images, the top tube shape was designed with not just ride quality in mind — given that the seat stays have moved forward — but also a comfortable shouldering position for cyclocross races. It also seems to be kitted with Schwalbe’s new X-One All Around tubeless tires and a Sram Force 1 drivetrain. No word yet on when it will hit the market, but expect it sometime this year.
