Yesterday, Filson and Danner released the Grouse Boot, the latest in the two Pacific Northwestern companies’ longstanding partnership and their first-ever boot collaboration. The original Grouse Boot is one of Danner’s cornerstone boot designs. Imbued with Filson’s own unique touch (waxed-canvas side panels), the limited-edition boot reasserts its place in the annals of classic American footwear. The boot also features a totally waterproof Gore-Tex liner, Danner’s full-grain leather upper and a Vibram Sierra outsole, which is commonly used in Danner’s military boots. The boot is manufactured entirely in the U.S.; only 375 pairs will be made.
