The original Converse Chuck Taylor was a basketball sneaker, but it’s been a while since you’ve seen them on the pros. Converse wants to change that with its new sneaker, the All Star Pro BB.
Launching in May, the All Star Pro BB will bring performance updates to the over 100-year old sneaker. Nike owns Converse, and the two teams collaborated on the latest design, infusing Nike technologies like React foam, a new cup sole and a Quadfit mesh upper with the old-school design. You can expect to see it on the courts on athletes like Phoenix Suns’ forward Kelly Oubre, Jr. According to Hypebea, the shoe will cost $140 when it hits stores next month.
