At first glance, Böker’s latest premium knife will make your jaw drop for multiple reasons.

Perhaps even more than the showstopping looks, the $1,099 MSRP is sure to do the job.

The good news is, we’ve found it elsewhere for a much lower, albeit still considerable, figure.

This makes all the BRLW Fulldress Damast has to offer worthy of serious consideration as a generational investment.

Premium in every way

First things first: the knife can be procured via Columbia, Louisiana-based Knifeworks for $576, which is both a lot and a massive savings.

What do you get for all that scratch? As with all of Böker’s highest-level knives, this one is assembled at their main factory in Solingen, Germany’s de facto knife capital. 

The headline feature is the blade, a 2.58-inch drop-point made of Damasteel Damascus in the Nidhogg pattern, incorporating 264 layers through the legendary Swedish steel maker’s precision powder metallurgy process.

The result is a beautifully beguiling aesthetic, not to mention superior hardness and edge retention, should you choose to do something with this knife beyond displaying it on your mantle.

Deployment comes via a subtle rear flipper, with a classic liner lock holding the blade securely in place.

The equally sumptuous handle is machined from a proprietary titanium alloy called Mokuti, highlighted by iridescent violet and blue hues that are the natural result of anodization and heat treatment.

These processes ensure no two handles are exactly alike, adding another level of uniqueness to a 2.65-ounce knife that’s limited to 99 units already.
