Amazon’s Big Spring Sale is a mixed bag. For every genuinely compelling deal, there are dozens of forgettable markdowns on products you’ve never heard of and probably don’t need.

But every once in a while, the sale gods smile on a category that actually matters, and this year, multi-tools are having a moment—specifically, Leatherman multi-tools.

Several of the brand’s most popular and capable models from the past and present are currently priced at or below their all-time lows, making this one of the best opportunities we’ve seen to pick up a Leatherman in a long time.

Tools for any job

What makes this particular sale so appealing is the range of models included. Whether you need a full-sized, do-everything multi-tool or a slim pocket knife with a few extras, there’s a Leatherman on sale that fits the bill.

At the top of the lineup is the Charge Plus TTi, which was widely considered one of Leatherman’s premium offerings until it was retired just last year.

It packs 19 tools into a titanium-handled frame, including an S30V steel blade that holds an edge far longer than the standard 420HC steel found on most competitors. It’s the kind of tool that lives in your glove box, garage or go-bag for years and handles just about anything you throw at it, from cutting wire to driving screws to prying open paint cans.

For those who spend more time on the trail than in the workshop, the Signal is purpose-built for outdoor use. In addition to the expected pliers, knife and saw, it includes a ferro rod for starting fires, an emergency whistle and a diamond-coated sharpener. The Blue/Red colorway currently on sale adds a touch of visibility to a tool that’s otherwise all business. It’s a solid choice for hikers, campers and anyone who wants a multi-tool that’s ready for backcountry situations.

The Free P2 is a now-discontinued multi-tool that fully embraces Leatherman’s magnetic architecture. Rather than a traditional friction-based locking system, the Free line uses magnets to hold tools in place, enabling smoother one-handed deployment.

Leatherman built its reputation on one tool — the original PST, designed by founder Tim Leatherman in Portland, Oregon, over 40 years ago. The Bond is a faithful reimagining of that icon, stripped of gimmicks and focused on what matters: 14 well-chosen implements packed into a stainless steel frame that weighs under six ounces and folds down to just four inches.

The P2 is a full-sized plier-based multi-tool with 19 tools, but it feels noticeably more refined in the hand than older models. It’s a natural pick for anyone who uses a multi-tool daily and values ease of access.

On the knife side, the Free K4 is a folding pocket knife with nine built-in tools, including spring-action scissors, a package opener and a pry tool. It’s less bulky than a full multi-tool, making it a strong everyday carry option for people who primarily need a blade but appreciate having a few extras tucked in. The magnetic locking system works particularly well here, snapping the blade open and closed with satisfying precision.

Finally, the Free T2 is the most compact of the bunch. It’s a keychain-friendly multi-tool with eight tools that folds down to just 3.6 inches. Think of it as the multi-tool you carry when you don’t think you need a multi-tool. At its current sale price, it’s essentially an impulse buy, but a surprisingly useful one.

Leatherman Signal

This has been one of our top picks for the best multi-tools for years. Worth noting: Leatherman’s Amazon shop offers eight different varieties of the Signal, but only this blue-handled version is on sale at the moment.

Leatherman Charge Plus TTI

This top-notch multi-tool is purpose-built for everyday carry, workshop use and backcountry repair kits. Titanium handle scales keep weight reasonable (8.9 ounces) and the durability at an all-time high. The tool set covers essentials like pliers, cutters, blades, scissors, drivers, and files. Premium blade steel and replaceable wire cutters add durability where it counts, making it a strong pick for users who want more refinement than an entry-level multi-tool without straying into novelty territory.
