Blade HQ is, perhaps obviously, best known for its absolutely massive catalog of everyday carry knives and multi-tools. However, the brand has also often been known to have a playful, tongue-in-cheek attitude.

This can be seen in some of its humorous special editions, such as the Böker Kalashnicob corn knife or the hot-dog-themed Wiener Warrior.

But none are as widely beloved and pervasive as the brand’s pink, sprinkled donut-themed lineup. And that series just got a major new edition in the Strider SnG Dessert Warrior.

This deliciously tactical knife is easily the most playful Strider I’ve ever seen.

Homer Simpson-approved

For the uninitiated, the Dessert Warrior line includes a pretty incredible, deep, wide-ranging array of offerings. Recently, it has gotten an extremely playful edition in a Böker-made automatic fork.

However, it has also seen a lot of more serious EDC tools included in its halls, like Kershaw’s Ken Onion-designed Leek, Civivi’s beloved Elementum II and many more.

Only the presentation-side scale gets the donut-themed treatment. The rest of the knife is totally blacked out.

But for those in the tactical space, this latest edition is arguably the most significant, as the Strider SnG is nothing short of legendary, as it has been for nearly 30 years.

But don’t fret: the knife is still entirely intact. The playful donut-themed colorway extends solely to the presentation-side scale, and it has absolutely no impact on the knife’s formidability, materials or otherwise.

Materials include a MagnaCut blade, G-10 presentation handle and titanium frame lock.

Deliciously tactical

Beyond that sugary-sweet pink presentation scale colorway, this is still very much a classic SnG in all its glory. It has the same iconic silhouette with its tapered handle and drop-point blade.

It also retains its thumb hole and thumb stud deployment, integrated frame lock and imposing pivot screw (and let’s be serious, the other hardware is also intimidating by modern standards).

The Strider SnG is nothing short of legendary, as it has been for nearly 30 years.

The blade steel is actually more contemporary than Striders of the past, but that’s a good thing. This one gets MagnaCut, which is inarguably among the best high-performance steels on the market today.

However, the handle is a bit more classic. The presentation side is G-10, while the frame lock side is titanium. Beyond the presentation scale, the whole thing is also blacked out, granting it a bit more durability.

The knife measures 8.20 inches in total, with a 3.50-inch blade and a 4.45-ounce weight.
