A utilitarian tote bag may be new star of social media — and deservedly so — but it’s the return of a rare everyday item that will have Yeti Nation rising up.

Teased in July via an email popup on the brand’s website, Yeti’s ceramic-lined coffee mugs are back in stock — though likely not for long.

“Limited drop”

The brand calls this a “limited drop” and stock is expected to move quickly.

The mugs, available in 10- and 14-ounce capacities, share the same basic form as the standard Rambler offerings, complete with a double-wall construction, wide handle and MagSlider Lid compatibility.

However, instead of an exposed stainless-steel interior, the mugs feature Yeti’s DuraSip Ceramic Lining. That gives them a buffer against stains and scratches, which anyone with a Rambler knows all too well, not to mention the metallic taste that can accompany acidic drinks like coffee.

Since 2023, the only cups with the ceramic lining have been six ounces or smaller.

So, why the fuss?

This marks the first time since 2023 that customers have had the opportunity to buy large ceramic-lined coffee mugs from Yeti directly. And even back then, they were limited to the brand’s annual Garage Sale of limited-edition variants of popular products.

(It’s worth mentioning that the brand did discreetly sell a batch on Amazon earlier this year. But they were limited to two colors and promptly sold out after wind of the restock went viral on collector forums.)

To date, ceramic-lined mugs have been highly collectible, often demanding double or triple the price on the secondhand market.

Availability and pricing

This time around, only two core colors receive the DuraSip Ceramic Lining — black and navy — with “Black Forest Green” and “Cherry Blossom” pink rounding out the collection.

Pricing starts at $30, a relatively affordable barrier to entry that only adds to the urgency.

After all, if this is anything like last time, it could be years before we see ceramic-lined mugs back in stock.
