It’s happened again. Another lucky visitor to Yellowstone National Park has surfaced on Reddit with a photo of one of Yeti’s most compelling and hard-to-find Tundra coolers — and predictably, another chunk of the r/YetiCoolers community fell in love again, racking up hundreds of upvotes almost immediately.

It’s the latest example of cementing the national park exclusive Tundra’s reputation as one of the most intriguing and coveted coolers in the entire Yeti lineup — and, for anyone making the trip to America’s most iconic national park, a souvenir that’s hard to top.

A gift shop wonder

For years, photos of these Yellowstone-exclusive Yeti Tundras have been popping up on Reddit, and they never fail to generate a wave of replies from people who didn’t even know they existed.

The reaction is typically the same: a mix of genuine surprise, admiration, and no small amount of envy — even from long-time Yeti enthusiasts who consider themselves well-versed in everything the brand offers.

What we know about these coolers has been pieced together from a handful of Reddit sightings and fan tidbits shared over the years.

As of today, they seem to be sold exclusively at the Yellowstone General Store, near the Yellowstone Post Office and Mammoth Hot Springs, and they don’t appear to be available through any online channel at this point, though at least one earlier thread noted they could briefly be found on the Yellowstone gift shop’s website a few years back.

The coolers have been spotted in multiple sizes, including the Tundra 35 and Tundra 45, with at least three different graphics applied depending on the size and version.

Photos shared over the years show coolers in white, tan, and even light blue colorways, with artwork depicting some of Yellowstone’s most recognizable landmarks, including Old Faithful, bison in the park, and Mammoth Hot Springs.

The cost of exclusivity

For all the excitement they generate, many skeptics have noted that the “custom” nature of these coolers is essentially limited to a vinyl wrap applied over the standard Tundra shell.

It’s a well-executed decal — the park-themed graphics look sharp in photos — but it’s worth being clear-eyed about the fact that underneath, you’re still buying the same cooler you could get anywhere. And in case you’re curious, no, the general store doesn’t appear to offer just the wrap on its own.

The other sticking point is price. While the exact price has varied across sightings and years, they’ve consistently been noted as more expensive than the standard Tundra, sometimes significantly so, making them a genuinely premium proposition as souvenirs go.

That said, for Yeti fans with a trip to Yellowstone on the calendar, these coolers remain one of the more compelling souvenir opportunities the park has to offer — functional, on-brand, and exclusive in a way that very few products actually are. Just make sure you’ve got room in the car before you head to the general store.
