With brands popping up every day, there’s no reason you should be relegated to just department store brands and options. Newcomer Marine Layer started by Matt Natensohn was founded on a story you might empathize with: Natensohn couldn’t find t-shirts or polos that fit like his favorites, and with only a few in rotation, his girlfriend threatened to throw them all out unless he upgraded. A year later, Marine Layer launched its first shirt.
We’ve tried out a couple of Marine Layer’s products and yes the t-shirts are great, but we’re especially big fans of their classy polo, a polo with a slightly dressier structure but entirely casual feel and small details like pure pima cotton material custom knit in Los Angeles, no-itch labels, coconut buttons, contrasting neck tape stripe, and an arm band that makes your bicep look, ahem, bigger.
Editor’s Note: Marine Layer offers free fabric samples that double as sunglass cloths. They’re free. Request a free sample.
