Red Wing Heritage dove into the archives for its latest limited-edition release: ‘50s-style Irish Setter boots. Available in two styles — the lace-up Moc boot ($320) and the pull-on Pecos boot ($340) — the release utilizes the distinctive “Gold Russet” colored leather and the same mahogany and sage thread used in the original boot. In both boots, the Red Wing name is embossed on the inside quarter of the boot, the backstay chainstitch is done on antique Puritan Stitch machines and the traditional woven Irish Setter label is attached inside the boot. They’re beautiful recreations of mid-century classics, and are only available for a limited time. So whether you didn’t buying an original pair a half-century ago, or you did — and remember your vintage Irish Setters fondly — don’t miss the second coming of this iconic boot.
