London-based indie perfume label Gallivant wants to demystify high-end artisan fragrances. Each of its four scents is rooted in a world city, including London, Istanbul, Tel Aviv and Brooklyn; Tel Aviv, for example, is meant to evoke “heat, sweat, cigarette smoke, flowers on the balconies overhead.” The oils for each scent is created at the Art et Parfum private lab outside Grasse, France, and the fragrances are hand-finished in England. Fairly priced, 30mL bottles cost $95, and a set of four samples costs $25.
