With the Baseball season just starting, there’s probably not a better time to get a new baseball cap, and the expertly-timed release of Todd Snyder’s newest collaboration with New Era presents a mighty tempting option. Not only is the new series built around New Era’s classic 59Fifty silhouette, but it’s also made from denim. And not just any denim either, but denim from Cone Denim’s White Oak plant which was, up until late last year, the last selvage denim mill in the entirety of the US. Its closing saddened many Denim Heads, but it seems some products made at the legendary plant are still trickling onto the market. According to Todd Snyder, “our order was among the last made at Cone’s Flagship White Oak plant in Greensboro, North Carolina.” That’s as good a reason as any to grab one while you still can.
