Virginia-based Shockoe Atelier just released a hefty loomstate jean that is perfect for fall. Made with unsinged, unsanforized 16-ounce denim from Okayama, Japan, they have a great texture and will fade nicely with wear. The low-mid rise style features a slim tapered leg and lined back pockets. Leather-backed rivets and buttons, along with a vegetable-tanned leather patch compliment the rugged fabric. For the best fit, the denim was washed once to avert unwanted shrinkage, but make sure to check the sizing guide before ordering. Like all of Shockoe’s jeans, these are made in Virginia and come with free repairs for the life of the jean. If you’ve been itching to break in some new denim and want a pair appropriate for the upcoming cooler weather, this pair is hard to beat for the price.
