Online clothing retailer Mr Porter is now offering the sophisticated Japanese brand Beams F to a global audience for the first time. Founded in 1978, the specialty label from Beams (the F stands for Future) offers a range of tailored and casual staples that blend European, American and Japanese influences. The global-minded brand was forward-thinking when it launched four decades ago and remains fresh and tasteful today.
For its international launch, Beams F created an exclusive 31-piece collection made up of button-up shirts, suit jackets, polo shirts and ties, among other things. Manufacturing is top-notch — tailoring and formal shirts are crafted in Japan and more casual garments are made in Italy — and the prices reflect that. The collection starts at $140 for ties and tops out at $1,515 for a suede bomber jacket.
