These Boots Mark 40 Years of Danner Using Gore-Tex

A 6-inch boot with a Gore-tex membrane and Vibram sole.

DANNER-LIGHT-40TH-BOOT-gear-patrol-full-lead

To mark four decades of using Gore-Tex, Oregon boot brand Danner released the Light 40th boot. This 6-inch style features a Gore-tex membrane, making it both waterproof and breathable. The upper is made from full-grain leather and hardwearing 100D nylon.

For added stability, the boot has a fiberglass shank (a lighter option than steel), and for increased traction, it has a Vibram Kletterlift outsole. The Light 40th boot is made with durable stitch-down construction and can be re-soled after years of use. This limited-edition style retails for $390 — don’t wait if you want a pair.
