Revisiting a classic

The typical construction of an EDC backpack designed to withstand wet weather employs a combination of soft cotton canvas paired with a wax coating to provide a measure of water resistance.

That setup works fairly well, but cotton isn’t always as durable as synthetic materials designed for wear and tear.

That’s why Bellroy opted to construct its new Classic Backpack Third Edition using a recycled, air-texturized polyester that mimics cotton’s warmth and softness, but adds in the durability of synthetic fabric.

In addition to its durable, soft matte exterior fabric, Bellroy incorporated some intuitive pocketing solutions, including a vertical front admin pocket (something we’re seeing more and more in EDC-friendly packs) designed to house essentials within easy reach.

The drop-down zip opening of the main compartment makes packing and searching for what you need a breeze, while the 16-inch padded laptop sleeve with integrated document slip provides security and peace of mind.

The contoured back panel has been designed to make all-day carry a pleasure, not a chore, and the adjustable padded shoulder straps continue that mission. A horizontal luggage pass-through comes in clutch for long travel days.
