Sanho iPad Hard Drive

The iPad's Storage Hungry Sidekick

Steve Jobs may believe the iPad is magical enough to replace a laptop for most users, but even as fond as we are of the device, there are still several glaring issues with it that need to be fixed. For example, just the other day we were debating how effective the iPad might be for extended backpacking trips around the world. In that scenario the only real issue is its inability to store large amounts of digital photos (battery power). Sanho’s HyperDrive iPad Hard Drives solve that. Used in partnership with the iPad Camera Connection Kit, the drive circumvents the iPad’s 32GB USB connected drive limit by partitioning larger drives into usable 32GB folders that are readable by the tablet. It also features a CompactFlash and Secure Digital slot for transferring files directly from your camera’s memory cards. While those features alone grabbed our attention, the fact that its 3.2″ QVGA color display allows for basic viewing and editing of both JPEG and RAW photos is a nice touch. Sold in sizes ranging from a basic shell ($299) to 750GB ($599).
