Mobile World Congress (MWC) is the mobile industry’s biggest annual trade show. Unlike CES, which features desktop computers, home appliances, TVs, every Alexa-enabled smart device ever, and anything else you can think of, MWC is focused specifically on upcoming smartphones and other mobile devices; with every announcement, there’s a potential iPhone-killer. Admittedly, leviathans like Apple, Google and Samsung have branched off, creating their own buzz with their own keynote announcements — but there were still plenty of fascinating gadgets at MWC 2017.
Nokia 3310, the Return
The original Nokia 3310 sold over 125 million models. The rebooted 2017 version looks nearly identical, but comes with a new modern twists.
LG G6
The LG G6 is a mega-screen smartphone that, because of its 18:9 aspect ratio, actually fits in your hands.
Sony Xperia XZ Premium
The Xperia XZ Premium is a 5.5-inch smartphone that comes with a beautiful 4K, HDR, 2160 x 3840 display — a smartphone first.
BlackBerry KeyOne
It has BlackBerry’s trademark keyboard, a 4.5-inch, 1620 x 1080 touchscreen display and 52 total shortcuts; you can launch apps by holding down keys.
Samsung Galaxy Book and Galaxy Tab S3
Both tablets are designed with a “back-to-basics design” that stay true to the Galaxy line’s roots.
