Light switches and outlets have long been designed for function, forgoing design elements in favor of pure utility. From Brooklyn-based industrial design studio Juniper comes a contemporary alternative inspired by the past. Its brass, surface-mounted power setup, called Ground Control, is made to revive the symmetrical details of mid-century NASA mission control rooms and the tactile cues they propose. The setup is available in double USB port, electrical plug and toggle switch options — ideal for utility-driven, but not utilitarian, homes and offices.
