Marantz just revealed its 2018 lineup of receivers and the big news is that they all support AirPlay 2 and Amazon Alexa. This means that you can stream music to the receivers directly from your iPhone, iPad or MacBook; or, if you have an Amazon Echo, you can ask Alexa to play music on your larger sound system. The receivers come with a bunch of other convenient features, such as 4K HDR passthrough so they’ll work with most new 4K TVs, and support for Dolby Atmos, DTS Virtual:X and Auro-3D surround sound technologies. They have built-in Bluetooth and work with Spotify Connect, too.
The pictured receiver (above) is the new Marantz AV8805, the most high-end receiver in the company’s new lineup that can support up to 13.2 channels. For more information on the AV8805 or any of Marantz’s other new receivers — AV7705, SR8012, SR7013, SR6013, SR5013, NR1609 and NR1509 — check out the company’s website.
