It’s got most of the latest high-end hardware specs you’d expect, but starting at just $549, you’re getting them at a really good deal.

OnePlus is well-loved for its Android smartphones with high-end specs and really affordable prices, and the company’s latest smartphone, the much-leaked-about OnePlus 6T ($549+), is just that. It has pretty much all hardware you’d expect in a flagship smartphone – Snapdragon 845 processor, a good camera, and beautiful and almost edge-to-edge display, up to 8GB of RAM and up to 128GB of storage – most of which are actually the same specs found in the OnePlus 6, which was just released this past May. The differences mainly have to do with the screen. It’s larger and more edge-to-ege, only has a tiny notch, and it’s also the first smartphone in the US that has a fingerprint reader built directly into the display (it’s called “Screen Unlock”). That’s right, no more fingerprint reader on the back of the phone.

(You can still unlock the OnePlus 6T by looking at it, same as with the OnePlus 6, if you don’t want to have to scan your finger each time. Facial scanning isn’t quite as secure, however.)

Another big change is that OnePlus 6T will be the first OnePlus smartphone to work with Verizon, which is America’s most popular cell carrier, so that’s a pretty big deal. Additionally, the OnePlus 6T can be purchased on the company’s website or through T-Mobile. So if you’re on a T-Mobile upgrade plan, you can work out a payment plan for the OnePlus 6T.

The camera systems on the OnePlus 6T are identical to the ones on the OnePlus 6, but OnePlus is rolling out a software upgrade so that both phones will be able to be better at Portrait photos, thanks to a feature called Studio Lighting, and photographing nighttime landscapes, thanks to a feature called Nightscape.

The other big improvement on the OnePlus 6T is with its battery. It has a 3,700mAh battery, compared to the 3,300 mAh battery on the OnePlus 6T, and the company claims it’ll give the new model 20-percent more juice. Other than that, the OnePlus 6T feels like a next-generation improvement. It still doesn’t support wireless charging and it isn’t water-resistant, which are two big bummers. It also doesn’t have a headphone jack, although OnePlus does include a 3.5mm dongle in the box.

The OnePlus 6T will be available in tow colors – midnight black and mirror black – starting on November 1 from OnePlus.com and T-Mobile’s website.
