With our steady, voluminous output of digital content — mostly, of course, smartphone pics — it helps to have speedy, reliable and easy to use storage strategies. Seagate’s CES offerings include several key options for consumers. The sleek LaCie Mobile Drive comes in up to 5TB capacity using a conventional hard drive, while the solid-state LaCie Mobile SSD can crank out data at 540MB/s with up to 2TB storage. They’re both modeled visually after Apple MacBook designs and include a one-month subscription to the Adobe Creative Cloud All Apps plan, to make photo and video processing much easier.
For those focused on completely backing up their data, the Backup Plus Ultra Touch allows users to automatically back up their data from multiple devices and folders, and it protects the data with hardware encryption. The Slim version (1TB and 2TB capacities) and the Backup Plus Portable come in 4TB and 5TB capacities. All will be available this spring, along with pricing details.
