For the first time ever, Amazon’s base-level Kindle has a front light. Now available, the $90 e-reader also features a six-inch 167ppi e-ink screen, weeks of battery life, Wi-Fi connectivity and Bluetooth support. Sure, it lacks some of the more plush features you’ll find on more expensive Kindles — such as cellular connectivity and page-turn button controls. But you won’t be straining your eyes to just because you didn’t want to pay an extra $40 for the Paperwhite.
