Sonos is selling refurbished models of its Playbar, the company’s biggest and best-sounding soundbar, for $150 off. The normally $699 soundbar can be bought for $549 right now on Sonos’s website.
As a reminder, the Playbar has been around for several years and doesn’t have a built-in virtual assistant, like the Beam ($399), Sonos’s newest soundbar. Unlike the Beam, however, the Playbar is significantly bigger and better sounding. It has nine drivers (three tweeters and six mid-woofers), each individually amplified, and sounds pretty phenomenal.
The Playbar is an easy and sure-fire way to upgrade your TV’s sound, and it can also be integrated into an existing Sonos system (should you have one). The caveat with the Playbar is that it doesn’t support AirPlay 2 like Sonos’s newer speakers, nor does it support Dolby Atmos.
