An upgrade on an iconic for a good cause.

IWC’s Mark XVIII — based on its iconic pilot’s watches of the ’40s and ’50s — is one of our favorite casual watches thanks to its classic look and reliable movement. IWC has used it as the basis for a new limited edition and, as such, it’s gotten a huge overhaul. For starters, the dial now comes in a radiant midnight blue, while the case has been upped in size ever-so-slightly from 40mm to 41mm. Also, the standard watch’s stainless steel case has been eschewed in favor of black ceramic and comes attached to an embossed black calfskin strap. The watch is meant to celebrate IWC’s partnership with Laureus Sport for Good Foundation, which provides sporting programs for underprivileged children worldwide, and since it’s a limited edition only 1,500 will be produced.
