When it debuted late last year, Timex’s Marlin reissue — based on a three-hand Timex of the same name from the ’60s — caused quite a stir, and it wasn’t long before watch enthusiasts had snapped up the limited qualities available. And who could blame them? The watch was practically a one-for-one remake of the original Marlin, with a tiny (by today’s standards) 34mm case, a domed crystal, a sunray-finished dial and a hand-winding movement. A low $199 asking price made it a no-brainer.
The watch sold out, came back in stock, then quickly sold out again and has been out of stock for some time… until now, that is. Timex has the Marlin back on sale on the brand’s website right now for the same $199 asking price. We’re not sure if this is going to be another limited run, but if you’ve been chomping at the bit to get your hands on a Marlin since missing out on the original production run it’s probably worth sealing the deal sooner rather than later.
