Unimatic is an Italian watch microbrand which a penchant for creating modern, minimalist dive and field watch designs. They’re accessibly priced, too, and as such you have a recipe for a cult favorite watchmaker amongst online watch enthusiasts. The brand also happens to create most of its watches in limited runs which, as you’d expect, sell out fairly quickly, which certainly seems like it’s going to be the case for its latest limited edition.

Partnering with Parisian boutique Nous, the resulting watch takes on the same basic look of the brand’s Modello Uno dive watch, but there are a couple of notable additions. The big difference is the “California” dial that pairs Roman and Arabic numerals together, a configuration popular in the 1930s and 40s with brands like Rolex and Panerai. The watch also comes on a heavy-duty Nato strap.

The rest of the watch has what makes Unimatic’s timepieces so coveted, namely a 40mm DLC-coated case, a super-simple bezel and an automatic movement inside from Seiko. The watch is expected to retail for around $750 (650 Euro), and only 50 pieces will be made, though you can secure a reservation through Unimatic’s website.
