You Won’t Find a Better GMT Watch Than This for Under $1,000

Just consider acting quickly, as it’s likely to sell out fast.

If you aren’t familiar with Vancouver-based watchmaker Halios, you really should be. The small, independent brand has been making handsome, accessibly-priced dive watches for years, and has become a cult favorite among collectors. They’re also made in limited quantities and sell out exceptionally fast. Thus the only real way to get your hands on one is to pre-order new models right away. And for that reason, you should consider moving quickly on the brand’s latest watch.

The brand new Seaforth GMT features an automatic ETA 2893-2 movement equipped with a GMT complication. That’s housed in a compact case that’s just 40mm in diameter and 12mm thick — it’s also water-resistant to 200 meters. Buyers have the ability to option the watch with a fixed bezel, a sapphire dive bezel, a steel dive bezel or a steel 24-hour bezel which allows you to track a third time zone. Similarly, the dial is available in either light gray or navy blue and is adorned with big, thick plots of luminescent material. Overall, it’s a clean, handsome design that straddles the line between vintage and modern very well.

So you get a lot of watch here, and you can even have some fun mixing and matching. But the best part is it’ll start at just $925. Which is kind of insane, really. We’ve seen a lot of captivating GMT watches at (relatively) affordable prices in recent years, but nothing under $1,000 offers so much customizability and so many features. This is one that’s bound to go quickly, so if you like what you see get in on the pre-order. It starts at 4 pm EST on Friday, August 10. If you miss out on that, a second pre-order will open up at 3 am on Saturday, August 11. Better put on some coffee.
