The Barton Black Leather Watch Strap is Simple & Affordable

A rugged leather watch strap doesn’t have to cost half as much as your watch.

I like a hand-crafted, supple leather watch strap as much as the next guy, but for many people, these aren’t necessarily impulse buys — you can easily shell out $100-$200 for a finely crafted strap, which is pushing into Seiko automatic-territory.

For the guy who just wants a simple, black leather watch strap that’s easy to get on an off any watch and comes in multiple lug widths, there’s the Barton Black Leather Quick-Release watch band, available in fives sizes (16, 18, 20, 22 and 24mm), five buckle colors (stainless steel, black PVD, gunmetal grey, rose gold and gold), and five stitching colors (black, linen, blue, crimson red and orange).

Each strap features top-grain leather, 316L stainless steel hardware, quick-release spring bars and is approximately 8 inches long, which means it should comfortably fit wrist sizes between 5 1/2″ to 8″. The Leather Quick-Release strap is available in six other colors, but the new black version should pair with just about anything, and is a perfect, unfussy option for your tool watch — best of all, they’re only $24-$26, depending on the choice of hardware.
