Nomos’s modus operandi as of late has been to play around with its existing core lineup, adding new sizes, colors and even new movements into the mix. As it so happens, the brand’s latest releases — the Orion Neomatik 41 in Midnight Blue and Olive Gold — are an example of all three changing at once.

The watches take on the basic design of the original Orion, one of the brand’s first four timepieces when it came onto the scene in the early 1990s, but now feature a new in-house movement with both automatic winding and a date complication. To accommodate the larger diameter of the movement, Nomos upped the case size to a fairly big (for the brand) 40.5mm in diameter. What’s more, the watch comes in two handsome colorways: Midnight Blue, a deep navy that’s found its way onto other Nomos watches in the past, and Olive Gold, which pairs a rich greenish-grey with gold-toned accents. Both watches are available now for $4,350 via Nomos’s website.
