Oris has a long history with aviation, having made its first pilot’s watch in the early 1910s. The latest timepiece in that lineage is the Oris Big Crown ProPilot Calibre 114. The GMT-equipped watch carries the newest advancement of the independent Swiss watchmaker’s in-house movement, the Calibre 114. This 10-day, hand-wound caliber comes with a non-linear power reserve indicator and a 24-hour second time zone.

The 44mm stainless steel case offers a smoky, grey dial with red accents and the strong legibility and Arabic markers common to the Oris ProPilot range. It comes fitted on a dark brown crocodile leather strap with a stainless steel folding clasp. Combining Oris’ Calibre 114 with a GMT-equipped timepiece fully displays the craftsmanship of this independent watchmaker.
