While there are numerous expressions of the GMT complication, certain iterations better lend themselves toward dressier watches. Bravur, a Swedish company making minimalist timepieces that utilize Swiss movements and simple yet attractive dial designs, recently released their Geography series GMT, which puts the Sellita SW330-1 movement to good use in offering a more refined take on the decidedly utilitarian complication.
The Geography utilizes a 39mm stainless steel case with a 20mm lug width and a curved dial with applied indices and numerals in a brushed finish. It features a second time zone in a recessed inner dial, and a date wheel at 6 o’clock. Super LumiNova application is relegated to only the tips of the rhodium-plated hour and minute hands, and the GMT hand in each model is done up in a contrasting color. You also get a domed sapphire crystal with AR coating and a Swiss-made Sellita SW330-1 automatic, 25-jewel movement with two-time zone functionality and 42 hours of power reserve. Five different leather straps and two different dial colors (Sparkling White and Midnight Blue) are available, and pricing begins at $1,650.
