Quick Take: Like other Nomos watches, the new Sport models in the Tangente and Club collections feature a crisp, minimalist look with cheerful colors. Diverging from what many may associate with the brand, however, these are purpose-made sport timepieces — highly durable with a dive-watch-appropriate 300m of water-resistance. Further, these models will receive steel bracelets, following in the footsteps of the Club Campus models released in January.
Who It’s For: Nomos stands out with its fashionable, design-focused approach. Watch lovers, however, are also won over by their in-house movements at reasonably affordable prices. While many Nomos watches are popular for being small and thin, the new Sport models are larger than most in the brand’s lineup and pack some durable specs — just to show everyone that the brand is capable of more than merely splash-resistant dress and casual watches.
Key Features: The new Sport versions of both the Nomos Tangente and Nomos Club share a lot of the same specifications. They are both 42mm wide with 300m (1,000ft) of water-resistance, and use the Nomos in-house DUW 6101 automatic movement with 42 hours of power reserve. Aside from the dial designs and other differences between the collections, the Tangente Sport features crown guards and is ever so slightly thicker at 10.9mm than the Club Sport at 10.2mm thick — still pretty thin for a sport watch. The Tangente Sport has black and white dial options, whereas the Club Sport is only offered with a black dial. Both feature the modern-looking bracelet and have prices of $4,060 for the Nomos Club Sport and $4,980 for Tangente Sport.
