Thankfully for the watch-buying public with affordable timepieces on the brain, Timex continues to mine its archives for horological gold. The most recent gem to emerge is a special version of the Timex Camper Mk1, done in collaboration with Mr Porter. The time-only version of the watch is available in two versions — aluminum on an oiled canvas strap, and blacked-out aluminum on a grosgrain strap.
Both watches feature a 41mm case, quartz movement with date, Indiglo backlight technology, and a black dial with Arabic numerals, sword hands, an inner 24-hour track and an outer 5-minute interval track. The watches are waterproof to 3 BAR and ship in a Timex Archive presentation watch for $115 (aluminum/oiled canvas) or $105 (black aluminum/grosgrain).
