Frederique Constant has been harnessing consumers’ enthusiasm for in-house movements and offering groundbreakingly affordable options. The brand further provides a nice level of finishing and a range of complications that tend to be more expensive when coming from other Swiss brands. The new Classics Moonphase Manufacture watch is one such example, with an in-house movement offering a symmetrical dual-sub-dial layout for the date and moon phase in a classically inspired package.
Though similar to an existing Moonphase Manufacture model in the brand’s Slimline collection, the new Classics watch comes with a different case profile and design, but it remains as traditional in its styling as most watches from the brand. The dial layout is the same, but some minor specs are different for the FC-712 movement, with automatic winding and 38 hours of power reserve. Three models in total offer options of white or blue dials in 42mm stainless steel cases for $2,595, and a white dial version with a rose gold-plated case for $2,895.
