Two years ago, Timex released the Marlin, a $200, 34mm mechanical dress watch on a leather strap based on a vintage model from the brand’s back catalog. It was an instant hit, and since then, we’ve seen the release of numerous iterations: a mesh-band version, a black-dial version made with Todd Snyder, an automatic version and more.
Now, Timex has once again teamed up with Todd Snyder on a new navy-dial version. The navy dial features all the same Marlin goodness as the original reissue from 2017 — 34mm case with 18mm lug width, 30m of water resistance, an acrylic crystal, handwound movement — but features a handsome, deep blue sunray dial and a brown croc-pattern leather strap. The price is also the same as that of the original silver and black versions at $199, so you can rock this affordable dress watch all week without worrying too much about it.
