This Affordable Outdoor Watch Now Comes Equipped with a GMT Function

The Victorinox FieldForce watch is as rugged and handsome as the brand’s famous pocket knife, and the addition of a GMT function just sweetens the deal.

Editor’s Note: Watches & Wonders (formerly SIHH) and Baselworld 2020 are canceled but that hasn’t stopped watch brands large and small from debuting their new wares. To stay on top of this year’s best new watch releases, see our tag page.

Victorinox is rightly associated with outdoor gear, and its watches often seem as functional and rugged as the famous Swiss Army pocket knife itself. The FieldForce collection is young but growing, and the latest models expand on the line with the popular GMT function for tracking a second time zone.

Housed in a 42mm steel case, the FieldForce is tough and pragmatic with a Swiss quartz movement and 100m water resistance, but also crisp and attractive. Further elements like scratch-proof sapphire crystal and healthy amounts of lume provide strong value.

Available in three versions, the Victorinox FieldForce GMT comes either on a leather strap for a price of $375, a sporty orange rubber strap with matching dial elements for $425 or a steel bracelet for $425.
