Editor’s Note: Watches & Wonders (formerly SIHH) has moved online and Baselworld 2020 is canceled, but that hasn’t stopped watch brands large and small from debuting their new wares. Stay on top of this year’s best new watch releases here.
In a reference to the original Bvlgari Bvlgari watch from its 1970s catalog, the famed Italian jeweler has released a new collection of nine timepieces inspired by cities closely associated with the company. Each watch features a 41mm DLC-coated steel case engraved with the name of one of the cities: Rome,Tokyo, Dubai, Paris, London, Ibiza, Milan, Mexico City and New York, and a black lacquered grained dial with rose gold indexes and a date window at 3 o’clock.
The watches are powered by an automatic manufacture movement, the BVL 191, and ship with two interchangeable straps in brown calf leather and black lubber as well as a black grained leather pouch. They also come with a set of twelve prints by young artists “who were invited to share their own vision of those cities and their connection to the Bvlgari brand.” The Bvlgari Bvlgari Cities Special Edition 2020 retails for $4,350.
