G-Shock’s 5600 is unequivocally its most iconic and significant watch, bar none. It’s also one of the brand’s most widely reissued watches, and is still frequently adorned with novel colorways to this day.
Unfortunately, that can often make it difficult for new releases to stand out. There are just so many existing options already out there, and many vary only slightly from one another.
Thankfully, that’s not the case with the G-Shock x Bamford GM-5600BWD-1 you see here today. Thanks to the British watch customizers, this is one of the most striking models to come out in recent memory. And it could be an instant classic, as a result.

Third time’s a charm
There’s a lot to love about this take on the G-Shock 5600. That’s especially true for stalwart fans of the brand, as this take doesn’t diverge from the base watch too much. And yet, it still manages to stand apart in some major ways.
The biggest stylistic divergence is, perhaps obviously, the colorway. The base watch is black, which itself is fairly common in the world of G-Shock. But it’s the smaller details — the bezel lettering, dial outlines and smaller markings — that help set this version apart.
