RedBar is one of the most prominent watch collector’s groups in the world, and the annual meetup of global chapters returned to New York City in 2025.

Of course, the only way to celebrate taking to the City that Never Sleeps is with a watch.

The only indication of RedBar on the dial is the red fumé treatment.

RedBar welcomes watch enthusiasts at all levels, but many members of the collectors group are known for sometimes flaunting extremely expensive and rare watches. However, the official watch of the 2025  RedBar Global Meetup is a relatively affordable Oris Divers.

It isn’t flashy and has a bare-bones time-only dial, but the single flourish defining the collaboration is gorgeous. Rather than any co-branding, the RedBar Limited Edition II has a read fumé dial texture that fades to a black outer rim.

It has a 1960s-inspired retro diver look that is irresistible to most watch fanatics. Even though RedBar’s logo is tucked away on the caseback, this watch was clearly designed by vintage collectors.

In the red

Legend has it that the RedBar Group was named after a cafe where the cofounders started meeting up, and the organization’s signature colors are red and black.

The black ceramic bezel insert continues the dial color scheme.

The dial texture fades till it reaches black right at the edge of the minutes track. A black ceramic bezel insert finishes the motif and has an essential mid-century diver layout with a white 60-minute track, 15-minute segment and a triangle-framed pip.

The Divers offers two period-correct strap options and the RedBar Limited Edition II comes with both. There is a three-link step-tapered steel bracelet with exposed rivets, along with a black tropical rubber strap with a steel pin-buckle.

Just a little off the sides

I had the pleasure of trying on the RedBar Limited Edition II on its release date at Windup Watch Fair New York. My first impression was a strong appreciation for how much it leans into my favorite Oris design.

A Divers Sixty-Five — the older generation of the watch that morphed into the Oris Divers Date a year ago — gifted to a friend of mine was the first Oris watch I ever encountered in the wild, and I was immediately smitten. The red fumé dial on this iteration distinguishes the collaboration while respecting the diver’s heritage.

Marketing images don’t relay the creamy white color of the lume filling the hour markers and hands, but you can get a sense of it in the wrist shots I took. It perfectly complements the dial texture and vintage aesthetic.

Another detail that struck me once I had the watch on my wrist was the size. This may sound ridiculous, but the 39mm case made an impression compared the 40mm version I’m used to.

The standard Oris Divers Date comes exclusively in 39mm, but this is the first no-date version I’ve come across — a little something special for the RedBar crew.

Availability and price

Oris and RedBar released the RedBar Limited Edition II on October 17, during what has unofficially become “New York Watch Week.” The festivities included the RedBar Global Meetup, Windup Watch Fair New York, WatchTime New York, Indies.NYC, FHH NY Watch Summit and a slew of individual brand events.

It is a limited edition of 250 pieces open to the public. You don’t have to be a member of a RedBar Group chapter to purchase one; you just need $2,950 and to act fast before it sells out.
