Last year, Bang & Olufsen introduced the Beosystem 3000c.

The vinyl hi-fi system paired the brand’s Beogram 3000c, a restored and modernized version of its 1985-released Beogram 3000 turntable, with its Beolab 8 active speaker system. It cost $30,000.

Since its release, the Danish audio maker has only offered the Beosystem 3000c in one finish: grey aluminum. As of today, it’s giving elite audiophiles a second option.

Enter Dune Grey

As of today, Bang & Olufsen has introduced the Beosystem 3000c in a new “Dune Grey” finish, which combines soft bronze aluminum with rich dark walnut accents.

“The Beosystem 3000c (Dune Grey Edition) evokes a sense of calm and refinement,” reads the company’s press release. “Inspired by the tones and textures of the Nordic coastline, the system balances warmth and precision in a design that feels as timeless today as it did four decades ago.”

Other than the updated look, the Beosystem 3000c remains the same as before.

The Beogram 3000c preserves the Beogram 3000’s original turntable design, but has been elevated with modern craftsmanship and components. This includes a precision-machined solid walnut back cover, a new aluminum control panel, a dust cover, fabric cables and a modern cartridge.

Like the original, the Beogram 3000c has a unique tangential tonearm that stays perfectly perpendicular to the record at all times, but automatically moves inward as the record plays.

Limited to 100

The Beogram 3000c is paired with a matching set of Bang & Olufsen’s wireless speakers, the Beolab 8, which the company released in late 2023 and currently sells for $7,900. The turntable connects to one of the speakers via the included cable, and the two speakers communicate wirelessly (no cable runs between them).

Like many of today’s active speaker systems, the Beolab 8 works in pairs to deliver an exceptional stereo sound. The system supports a wide variety of Wi-Fi streaming options (including AirPlay, Spotify Connect, Google Cast, and Tidal Connect), making it fully functional and versatile even when not playing vinyl.

As before, the Dune Grey version of the Beosystem 3000c is part of Bang & Olufsen’s Recreated Classics program, which procures vintage Beogram 3000 models and updates them. So B&O isn’t actually making new turntables, but breathing new life into vintage ones.

Naturally, this means the Beosystem 3000c as a whole is very scarce. In fact, only 100 Dune Grey editions will be released. Each system will be individually numbered, uniquely engraved and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.

Only 100 sets of the Beogram 3000c in the Dune Grey finish will be sold.
