Bang & Olufsen has completed the set.

In November 2025, the legendary Danish hi-fi manufacturer said it would introduce five Atelier Edition variants of its Beolab 90 active loudspeaker system, which it calls the “ultimate floorstanding speaker.” A normal pair costs north of $200,000.

With these five special-edition models, Bang & Olufsen leveraged its Atelier program, a collaboration with the brand’s master artisans that produces custom versions of its products. Basically, they’re more unique, higher-end versions of the company’s already elite speaker system.

Over the past several months, Bang & Olufsen has introduced three of these Atelier Edition variants. There’s the Titan Edition, which is a stripped-down, all-aluminum version of the Beolab 90. Then there’s the Mirage and Phantom Editions, which are super colorful and all-black versions, respectively, of the same speaker system.

Now, B&O has introduced the final two Atelier Edition variants of the Beolab 90. Meet the Monarch and the Zenith Editions.

The Monarch Edition

Pair of modern speakers with geometric design featuring white fabric panels and wood accents with black speaker cones.
Each of the Monarch Edition speakers comes with a fabric grille or “crown.” You can have it on (left) or off (right), depending on whether you want to show off the drivers.

Sculpted in Rosewood

Let’s start with the Monarch Edition, which the company describes as
“a study in textural sophistication and Danish furniture design heritage.” It combines angled rosewood lamellas (the decorative panels) and precisely finished aluminum elements.

The Monarch Edition celebrates its Danish craftsmanship, where “the rhythm of the lamellas and the carefully placed wooden knots create a sense of movement around the speaker.”

The top of each speaker is a front panel made of solid rosewood, which contrasts with the aluminum sides. The lower base panels continue the lamella pattern. There are also semi-transparent fabric grills that, depending on the angle from which you view them, offer a glimpse of the acoustic drivers behind them.

Bang & Olufsen says the design and contrasting elements of the Beolab 90 Monarch Edition “transform the flagship speaker into a flowing, sculptural object.”

A Symphony of Pearls

The Zenith Edition is totally different. It features six panels that are each integrated with 289 anodized aluminum spheres. And these spheres are arranged in “seven bespoke pearl-inspired colors.”

According to the brand, it creates “a shimmering, reflective surface that interacts with light and the environment.”

Additionally, the loudspeaker has a machined aluminum facemask that is pearl blasted and anodized in a dark grey, which, according to B&O, aims to resemble an oyster shell.

Because of these pearls and reflective surfaces, the Zenith Edition loudspeaker catches light differently throughout the day and, which B&O says creates “a dynamic visual presence that complements the acoustic mastery within, and elevates the Beolab 90 into an experience that engages multiple senses.”

Other than the fresh look and unique craftsmanship, each Atelier Edition is the same elite active speaker systems as the regular Beolab 90, which was introduced in late 2015.

Each active loudspeaker system is powered by 18 individually amplified drivers (totaling 8,200 watts per speaker) that fire audio in all directions. And each speaker is a behemoth, standing four feet tall and weighing 302 pounds.

Limited to 10, each

Like the other Atelier Edition variants of the Beolab 90, Bang & Olufsen will only make ten (each) of the Beolab Monarch Edition and Zenith Edition.

As for price, Bang & Olufsen hasn’t disclosed that … although you can expect each to cost more than the standard Beolab 10, which is currently selling for $211, 800.

Both of these new Atelier Editions are available now through Bang & Olufsen’s stores.
