Vans has spent the past few years betting on vintage, and the strategy has helped fuel the brand’s recent turnaround.

With each new-meets-old release and reissue, Vans has expanded its lineup while staying true to its California-cool aesthetic.

The most recent addition to that growing lineup is the Premium Style 152, a modern daily driver that embodies retro runner design cues without losing its contemporary appeal.

Retro roots

The Premium Style 152 isn’t a reissue of one specific model from the Vans archive; rather, it’s an amalgamation of the brand’s recent style formula that has proven to connect with consumers.

Built with textured suede and nylon panels, the low-profile silhouette combines vintage track styling with lightweight comfort. That cushioning comes in the form of an EVA midsole and wedge, as well as the padded collar.
