It’s time to queue up like it’s 2018. The Tor Ultra Lo is back.

First released in collaboration with Engineered Garments nearly a decade ago, the now-iconic model introduced Hoka’s trail chops to city dwellers, kickstarting its lifestyle division in the process.

Since then, Hoka’s released dozens of silhouettes that straddle the divide between dirt and pavement but none more respected than the Tor Ultra Lo.

The upper pairs nubuck leather with durable nylon, reinforced with a Gore-Tex liner for forecast-proof protection. Underfoot, the Tor Ultra Lo carries Hoka’s familiar max-cushioned midsole and a Vibram Megagrip outsole for reliable traction on wet and icy sidewalks.

Founded in the late 1990s by Daiki Suzuki, Engineered Garments makes menswear grounded in the tradition of vintage American and military surplus.

While this year’s reissue doesn’t have the coveted cosign of the original, Suzuki’s influence lives on through Hoka’s choice of neutral, muted colorways.
