Often referred to as mankind’s oldest tool, a knife is an essential, indispensable part of any EDC loadout. Unfortunately, as many of us enthusiasts have discovered, they can also be very expensive, especially if you’ve started a collection.

Still, with a bit of knowledge, patience and gumption, it’s very much within the range of possibility to find yourself in the possession of quality cutting tools that don’t break the bank. In fact, this year has seen a bevy of respectable, stylish, dependable EDC knives for well under $100.
