Nike has little left to prove on the road and track, where numerous world records have fallen to its array of super shoes. But the brand doesn’t demand the same respect on the trails, where Hoka, Salomon and dozens of upstarts thrive.
That could be changing …
Earlier this year, American distance runner Caleb Olson broke the Transgrancanaria Classic course record wearing a pair of ACG prototypes, while his mysterious running top at Western States (easily America’s most prestigious trail race) nearly overshadowed his historic win.
Now Nike’s outdoorsy subdivision think it can be your go-to hiking brand, and it might have a point in the ACG Zoom Gaiadome.

First released in 2022, the rugged trail-ready silhouette is back in force for fall and winter, thanks to a graphic treatment that equips the boot with camo-adjacent uppers.
